Fantastic Panfish Rods
I ordered 3: PFS54ULF, PFS60ULF and PFS70LXF. Between PFS54ULF and PFS60ULF, the latter has slightly better backbone based on my feel. I usually prefer a slightly beefier rod for panfish and wish St Croix makes light action instead of UL though its ULs have nice fast tips and usually have more backbone than those from other makes. I did order a Premier 6-foot light action to compare and it's very close to this PFS60ULF and thus decided to keep both. I found I may not use PFS54ULF much and thus returned it but kept PFS60ULF, which has an awesome feel. PFS70LXF is great if you want to reach a little farther. They are all great and Swanson's Aaron is great in terms of order and return/exchanges. I have ordered a total of 4 Avids, 3 Panfish and 1 Premier from them in the past few months and they are great in everything. Will definitely do business with them in the future.
