Most of the snow from last week is already settled down to pretty much nothing - slushy and wet! The warmer weather coming will definitely finish the snow off, and they are currently forecasting some rain. It is going to get pretty tough to get onto the ice real quick. We had some reports last week of thick ice yet, but this time of year gets very unpredictable. Most anglers are throwing in the towel at this point.
If you choose to go out, be extremely careful! Fishing should be good if you can find good ice yet. Jumbo Perch should be ripping, and the panfish should be putting on the feedbags as well. Shallow water has been the norm right now.
