Expectations for the 2008 deer season are high! Grouse and archery hunters are reporting significant increases in buck activity over the last week. The bucks are beginning to chase does, and archery hunters are having increasing success using calls and scents. Temperatures are currently fairly mild, but they are expected to drop considerably before the opener. With the lowering temperatures and the possibility of snow spurring on buck movement, the 2008 season should be one for the record books! -- November 1, 2008
